Stress Pattern A - Nouns and Adjectives - Part 1 (By: Ovient English)

Most of the time, nouns and adjectives with two syllables have stress on the first syllable. Compound nouns and adjectives also have stress on the first word/syllable.

For example:

gor-geous (adjective)
meet-ing (noun)

Listen to these nouns and adjectives and record yourself reading them. Compare your recording to the teacher’s.
